This underscores my long-held position that global warming is anything but simple.  We are undergoing a paradigm-shattering climate change, but not for the reasons that are popular to believe.  Sea ice is at record minimums....in the Northern Hemisphere.  In the Southern Hemisphere, it is at an all-time maximum.  Hmmm...perhaps this is proof that Gaia is, indeed, a woman?  At any rate, please read the article, stolen from Lou Minetti, again.

I haven't written here about the death of my friend Charles "Chuck" Kitowski.  The grief is still raw, and I am haunted by a picture I saw of his parents and widow at his funeral.  I was reminded about him, about the quality of man he was, when I read Christopher Hitchen's latest soul-searcher of an article about the tragic death of soldier Mark Daily. Please read this article about his life.
